Class Reunion 2009

ANGLO CHINESE SCHOOL

Class of 63 & 65 Reunion

Over 80 schoolmates and guests gathered at MySecretGarden at the corner of Waterloo / Middle Road on 11 November 2009 for their annual reunion. Dinner was to begin at 7pm sharp and most arrived before 6.30pm.
The program for the evening was as follows:-

6.30 to 7 pm - arrival of guests and pre dinner cocktail
7 pm to 8.30 pm - Peranakan buffet dinner
8.30 pm to 8.50 pm Sam Fang, our photo journalist from Chengmai showcased his work among the wild elephants of Thailand

8.50 pm to 9.30 pm - Showtime featuring Ritchie and Raymond Ang's Ukulele band,

Sam Fung gave a short talk on Elephants in Thailand. He presented 2 of his books as lucky draw after the talk. Perk Harn was the first to be drawn and she received a book on Chatuchat Bangkok. Pauline was the other one to receive the book on Elephants in Thailand.

The theme of the party was Hawaiian Nite and it blended in well with the ukulele singers setting the mood. A sing song session was well received by all and even song sheets were passed around.

One of our boys (HK Leong) emailed to say that he was particularly touched by Seow Boon's unselfish spirit .... "I would like to specially thank Seow Boon for showing us the true ACS spirit. He went out of his way (left his wife Rosa to come on her own) to fetch Kee Soon who had expressed a strong desire to meet up with his classmates. As we all know Kee Soon has been unwell for some years now.
I spoke to Kee Soon and he said he was elated to be able to come.
Looking forward to the next one

The food was good, the ambience was better and the fellowship uncomparable. Everyone including Kee Soong enjoyed themseves tremendously.
Special thanks goes to John Lee who organised and subsidised part of the bill. Thanks also goes to all the unseen helpers and those who have in one way or another contributed to make this reunion a success.
Until next year THE BEST IS YET TO BE.
